November 3, 2026 — Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana

★  WHY BENNY  ★

He Built It Back Before. He'll Do It Again.

When Hurricane Katrina tore through Plaquemines Parish in 2005, it wasn't just homes and roads that were destroyed — it was the spirit of an entire community. Benny Rousselle was Parish President then, and he didn't wait for someone else to fix it. He rolled up his sleeves, fought for every federal dollar, and led the most ambitious rebuilding effort in the Parish's history.

Under Benny's leadership, Plaquemines Parish rose from the floodwaters. Roads were repaired, schools were rebuilt, and families came home. He fought the bureaucrats, the insurance companies, and the politicians who wanted to write off South Louisiana — and he won. That's the kind of leadership Plaquemines Parish deserves again.

After years of making great progress since Katrina, our Parish has been falling behind over the last three years. Infrastructure is crumbling, water systems are failing, and the bridge tolls are squeezing working families. The accountability that once defined Parish government has given way to waste and neglect. Plaquemines Parish rose from the floodwaters once. With the right leadership, it will rise again.

WHAT BENNY WILL FIX

Plaquemines Parish deserves leadership that delivers results — not excuses. Here's what Benny is fighting for.

Issue #1

NO BRIDGE TOLLS

The new Belle Chasse Bridge was built with public money — with a private partnership — and that's where the problem was created. Plaquemines Parish residents should never be forced to pay a toll just to cross into their own community.

Not even being in office, Benny took on the tolls and since day one leads the legal fight to permanently remove them. No resident of this Parish should be taxed every time they drive to work, school, or the grocery store. Benny will end the tolls.

FIX THE WATER

Clean, reliable water is not a luxury — it's a basic right. Aging infrastructure has left too many Plaquemines families dealing with discolored water, low pressure, and outages. Benny will prioritize water system upgrades from day one.

PUBLIC SAFETY

Plaquemines Parish families deserve to feel safe in their communities. As he has always done, Benny will continue to support local law enforcement, invest in emergency response infrastructure, and ensure our first responders have the resources they need to protect every corner of this Parish.

Issue #4

ACCOUNTABILITY

The grass isn't getting cut. Roads go unrepaired. Parish property sits overgrown and neglected. This is what happens when leadership stops showing up. Benny will restore a culture of accountability — where every tax dollar is tracked, every contract is transparent, and every resident's call gets answered.
